King Charles III

King Charles III’s ascent to the throne in September 2022 coincided with the final stage of Shifnal’s town centre refurbishment work. To mark the event, a bench was commissioned in the new King’s honour.

The coronation the following year was marked by putting a royal spin on the town’s annual Spring Fling event – the 2023 “King’s Spring Fling”
